Day 2
This morning, we connected up all the little components as planned. The dip-switch, LED, the buzzer and all the resistors and wires required to link them to the other components. I learnt quite a bit about how microchips worked from that. It was quite troublesome to have to cut the wires and plug them into the tiny little holes in the board, but was worth it as we got to learn about the form of assembly language used in this type of microprossesor. We went through the 3 basic programs that were typed out in the handouts and got a chance to try our hand at combining the 1st and 2nd and 1st and 3rd programs ourselves. This required quite a bit of thinking through as the teachers, though helpful, did not lucidly explain the basic 3 programs.
